What do you do with an awesome piece of prime Wagyu beef? You make Wagyu Biltong, of course.
As far as we know, we are the first in the UK to be producing Wagyu Biltong. (we could be mistaken, of course). We set up our website, wagyubiltong.co.uk and created Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts to compliment our website.
Also known as Kobe Beef (from Kobe in Japan), Wagyu has been farmed in the UK for the past few years. The Wagyu beef we us in our Wagyu Biltong is farmed in the UK from prime F1 Wagyu cross Aberdeen Angus cattle. The cattle are grass fed and are regularly treated to beer and a massage, making the internal fat (known as marbling) the best quality.
Wagyu biltong is high in Omega 3 and 6 oils and high in monounsaturated fat making it healthier than standard beef. The fat actually melts at room temperature and this makes it a delight on the pallet. You don't get that layer of fat in your mouth you find after normal fatty dried meat.
You have to try it to believe it.
